At Pi1, we are committed to protecting your privacy and aligning with the data handling practices and obligations consistent with our platform provider, Astro. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is designed to reflect a back-to-back alignment with the Astro privacy framework and includes references to applicable regulatory requirements including the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR").
When we refer to the "Site", we mean the Pi1 website at www.pi1.nz.
When we refer to "Clients", we mean the organisations that use Pi1 services.
When we refer to the "Services", we mean the productivity analytics, AI tools, benchmarking dashboards, surveys, and related services offered through the Pi1 platform, powered by Astro.
When we refer to an "Application", we mean any Pi1 or Astro application used to deliver our Services.
When we refer to "personal data", we mean information that identifies or relates to an identifiable individual (e.g., name, title, email address).
When we refer to "company data", we mean operational, financial, or strategic data that is identifiable to a specific organisation, often commercially sensitive.
When we refer to "AI Technologies", we mean deep learning, machine learning, and generative AI algorithms used within our platform or via integration with Astro.
When we refer to a "Third-Party AI Product", we mean AI tools or services developed by external providers that may be integrated into Pi1 or Astro Services.

1. Important Information and Who We Are
Pi1 Limited is the company responsible for the Site and Services. When we mention "Pi1", "we", "us" or "our" in this Privacy Policy, we are referring to Pi1 Limited. Pi1 uses and integrates with the Astro platform to deliver its Services.
We act as a data controller for information collected through the Site and as a data processor when managing Client data through our Services and the Astro-powered Applications.
Our practices adhere to the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, and where applicable to users in the European Economic Area, the GDPR.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with data, please contact us immediately at hello@pi1.nz.

Pi1’s privacy obligations mirror those of Astro and are contractually aligned through our platform use agreement. Data governance is implemented in accordance with Astro’s policies, including user authentication, secure storage, and limitations on AI model training with customer data.
